Job summary

• 5+ years in cross-functional project management within Financial markets.
• Strong stakeholder management, including senior Sponsors.

• Experience leading projects with multiple teams and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional projects end-to-end from scoping to delivery.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Operations, Finance, Risk, IT, Compliance, Legal and Tax.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables and success metrics with sponsors.
• Establish governance and decision-making processes for projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies and bottlenecks and mitigate them.
• Challenge proposed solutions across business, technical and organizational domains.
• Drive process optimisation and operational transformation initiatives.
• Support development of new business activities, incl. structured products.
• Contribute to regulatory projects such as settlement initiatives and remediation work.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Cross-Functional Project Manager to join an international Investment Banking environment, driving strategic initiatives within Global Markets. The role involves managing complex, cross-functional projects across Front Office, Operations, Finance, Risk, IT, Compliance and other business areas, ensuring alignment between multiple stakeholders with different priorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead projects independently, influence senior stakeholders and drive operational transformation.

Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Manage cross-functional projects end-to-end, from initial scoping and planning through implementation and delivery.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Operations, Finance, Risk, IT, Compliance, Legal and Tax.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success metrics in collaboration with project sponsors.
• Establish and manage project governance, ensuring effective decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines.
• Identify, anticipate and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and potential bottlenecks.
• Coordinate and challenge proposed solutions, including business, technical, process and organisational approaches.
• Drive process optimisation, operational transformation and remediation initiatives.
• Support the development of new business activities, including structured products and business platforms.
• Contribute to regulatory and business-driven projects, such as T+1 settlement initiatives.
• Challenge business and technical experts, identify process weaknesses and propose improvements.
• Facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts between different business functions and stakeholders.
• Ensure the quality of project deliverables and secure the necessary stakeholder validations.
• Prepare clear and concise project updates, presentations and progress reports for senior management and Executive Committees.
• Translate complex business, technical and regulatory topics into clear messages for different audiences.
• Manage one or two projects simultaneously within an international and fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cross-functional project management within a Global Markets / Investment Banking environment.
• Strong understanding of Global Markets and financial services, including Front Office, Operations, Finance and Risk.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and business functions, ideally involving 10+ different teams.
• Experience managing complex projects with conflicting priorities and competing business interests.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive initiatives without formal hierarchical authority.
• Experience in business transformation, process optimisation, operational remediation or regulatory projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business, technical and regulatory topics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesise complex information for senior management.
• Autonomous, proactive and pragmatic approach, with strong ownership of project delivery.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
• Experience exclusively focused on IT project management, without direct Global Markets exposure, will not meet the requirements.
