BFF Bank S.P.A. — Portuguese branch in Lisbon — seeks a Credit Collection Coordinator for the Portuguese market. You will manage debt collection activities, negotiate payment plans, and maintain debtor relationships to ensure timely payments.

The role requires strong negotiation and communication skills, 8–10 years of experience, and a proven ability to lead a small team. This position offers a dynamic environment with growth opportunities in a banking context.

Responsabilidades

• Manage credit collection for the Portuguese market and debtors relations.
• Negotiate payment plans, send reminders, and follow-ups.
• Identify disputes and coordinate with internal teams to resolve payments.
• Lead regular meetings with debtors and maintain communication.
• Monitor balances, exposure volumes, and credit risk.
• Initiate and manage legal actions with internal Legal when needed.
• Supervise a team of 2 people and report performance to HQ.
• Collaborate with IT and other groups on internal projects.

To strengthen our internal team at our Portuguese branch , we are looking for a Credit Collection Coordinator– Portuguese Market .

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing credit collection activities for the Portuguese market and maintaining relationships with debtors, including the negotiation of payment plans.
• Performing payment reminders and follow-ups.
• Identifying and resolving disputes that prevent payments.
• Organizing regular meetings with debtors and maintaining constant communication.
• Monitoring and verifying debtor account balances.
• Tracking exposure volumes and monitoring credit risk.
• Performing necessary checks to ensure proper risk monitoring and proposing corrective actions when needed.
• Supporting the collection of supporting documentation and managing all related data within internal systems.
• Collaborating with the internal legal department to initiate and manage legal actions when required.
• Managing relationships with clients regarding portfolio due diligence and internal system processes related to potential transactions.
• Requesting, verifying, and validating supporting documentation.
• Clarifying disputes raised by debtors regarding receivables.
• Managing reimbursement recovery and retrocession processes.
• Leading and managing a team of 2 people.
• Providing credit management services.
• Reporting regularly to Headquarters on local activities and credit management performance indicators.
• Collaborating with all Group functions, including IT, and actively participating in internal projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing relationships with public or private counterparties for debt recovery and negotiation of agreements.
• Strong proactive mindset with a clear focus on achieving KPIs and priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible and solution-oriented approach, with a strong aptitude for teamwork.
• Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated people management experience .
