You will collaborate with clinicians, verify billing accuracy, and handle denials while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data integrity in a busy medical office environment.

Qualificações

• Education: high school diploma or GED; CPC certification required.
• Experience: prior medical coding experience with CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 knowledge.
• Familiar with EMR systems and billing techniques; HIPAA awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Code from final office visit and surgical/procedural reports.
• Review medical records and assign diagnoses with CPT/ICD-9/ICD-10; sequence properly.
• Submit claims electronically or on paper; verify billing accuracy.
• Enter patient copayment information into the EMR.
• Investigate denials and rebill as needed; maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate with providers for documentation; stay updated on regulations.
