Yazaki North America, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer Connection Systems for our plant in Portugal. Join us to help shape profitable business decisions through accurate costing, preparing competitive quotations, and supporting pricing strategies with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented and proficient in Excel and ERP costing tools, with strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in costing, pricing, controlling, finance, or business analysis within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Automotive industry experience is a strong plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cost calculations and pricing proposals for customer quotations (RFQs).
• Support the Sales team with competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
• Update quotations based on commercial agreements, raw material indices, productivity improvements, engineering changes, and other cost drivers.
• Prepare costing analyses, reports, and documentation to support business decisions.
• Calculate product costs, sales prices, and profitability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze the financial impact of engineering changes, VAVE initiatives, new product designs, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor and maintain accurate product cost structures, pricing data, gross margins, and internal costing databases.
• Calculate, validate, and monitor factory transfer prices and inter-company pricing.
• Identify, support, and track margin improvement initiatives and realized cost savings across RFQs, projects, and serial production.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of costing processes, tools, and methodologies using structured problem-solving techniques.

Education

Professional Experience

• Experience in costing, pricing, controlling, finance, or business analysis within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong plus.
