Job summary

Hilo by Aktiia invites a Corporate IT & Systems Engineer to own the day‑to‑day technology that keeps our teams productive. You will manage identity, devices, and business apps while driving a major move from Microsoft to Google for collaboration, identity, and endpoints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate IT or systems administration in a tech‑driven environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Workspace and endpoint management platforms (e.g., JumpCloud, Intune).
• Proven experience administering SSO, MFA, SaaS apps and user lifecycles, including identity provider integration.
• Strong macOS support experience and working knowledge of Windows.
• Understanding of endpoint security and collaboration with external IT providers.
• Comfort with scripting, APIs or automation to reduce manual work.
• Self‑starter used to working on projects with initiative and ownership.
• Clear written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Administer Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Microsoft 365 and key SaaS platforms.
• Manage full user lifecycle including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding; configure SSO, MFA, groups and access.
• Support access reviews and remove unused accounts.
• Enrol and manage macOS and Windows devices via JumpCloud and Intune; deploy apps, policies and updates; support endpoint protection.
• Provide Level 1–2 IT support; write user guides; address recurring issues at the source.
• Lead migration tasks from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace; manage device re-enrolment and account migration.
• Maintain application inventory, owners, and access models; integrate apps with identity provider; manage licenses.
• Apply security standards; collect logs for investigations; coordinate with external IT partners.

Job description

As our Corporate IT & Systems Engineer (m/f/d), you will be the hands‑on owner of the technology our teams rely on every day. You will keep identity, devices and business applications running smoothly and securely, while helping drive a major transformation of our collaboration, identity and endpoint platforms from Microsoft to Google.

This is not a ticket‑only helpdesk role. You will own problems end to end, work with senior stakeholders and external IT partners, and automate repetitive work so that IT scales without adding headcount. You will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Technology & Security.

This is a contract position, initially for 3 months with the possibility of extension, depending on the progress of our transformation project.

Location: This role is fully remote. We are open to candidates across Europe, with a preference for Germany, Spain, Portugal and Ireland.

Core Responsibilities

Identity & access:

• Administer Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Microsoft 365 and key SaaS platforms.
• Manage the full user lifecycle (onboarding, role changes, offboarding) and configure SSO, MFA, groups and role‑based access.
• Support access reviews and remove unused accounts

Device management:

• Enrol and manage macOS and Windows devices through JumpCloud and Intune.
• Deploy applications, policies and updates, support CrowdStrike endpoint protection, and handle laptop preparation, shipping, replacement and inventory

Employee support:

• Be the front door of IT.
• Provide responsive Level 1 and Level 2 support, write clear user guides, and fix recurring issues at the source rather than ticket by ticket

Technology transformation:

• Help deliver our migration from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, including device re‑enrolment from Intune to JumpCloud and the migration of accounts, groups, data and application authentication.
• Test changes, support users, track issues through to resolution, and coordinate with migration partners while keeping ownership in‑house

SaaS & application administration:

• Maintain the application inventory, owners and access models.
• Support platforms such as Atlassian, Slack, NetSuite, Intercom and Shopify, integrate applications with our identity provider, and identify unused licences and duplicate tools

Security, vendors & assets:

• Apply agreed security standards across identities, devices and applications, collect logs to support investigations, and escalte material risks.
• Coordinate external IT support, hardware suppliers and technology partners

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate IT or systems administration, ideally in a fast-growing, tech‑driven environment
• Hands‑on experience with Google Workspace, and practical knowledge of JumpCloud, Intune or another endpoint management platform
• Proven experience administering SSO, MFA, SaaS applications and user lifecycles, including integrating applications with an identity provider
• Strong macOS support experience, with working knowledge of Windows
• Understanding of endpoint security and access control, and experience working alongside external IT providers
• Comfortable using scripts, APIs or automation platforms to remove manual work
• A self‑starter who is used to working on projects, not just resolving tickets. You take initiative, make decisions and hit the ground running with little hand‑hanging
• Clear written and spoken English
