Job summary

You will conduct assessments, develop preservation plans with cost estimates, oversee work with construction teams, recommend materials, ensure code compliance, and maintain project records while communicating with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• At least 2 years of preservation architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials and historic techniques.
• Experience working with construction teams on preservation projects is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation and restoration work.
• Develop preservation plans and proposals, including cost estimates, for clients.
• Collaborate with construction teams to oversee preservation projects from start to finish.
• Research and recommend appropriate materials and techniques for preservation work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Keep detailed records of project progress and expenses.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address concerns.
