Eloa Labs is seeking a Company Accountant to manage the financial functions across multiple legal entities in Portugal, Ireland, and the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic support. Key responsibilities include preparing management accounts, overseeing audits, and collaborating with operational teams for financial insights. Ideal applicants will have a tertiary qualification in accounting or finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of ERP platforms.

Qualificações

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
  • Experience in group consolidations and multi-entity reporting is a plus.
  • Strong audit experience, including leading audit processes.

The Company Accountant will be responsible for managing the full financial function across a small number of legal entities operating in Portugal, Ireland and the UK. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a multi-entity environment. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision‑making.

This role is across group of companies (the “Group”). In addition to their duties for the Employer, they will be required from time to time to perform duties related to their job description (as amended), for other entities within the Group, whether located in Ireland or in any other jurisdiction, provided that:

  • such duties are reasonably consistent with the Employee’s role, skills, and experience;
  • the Employee’s core terms and conditions of employment are not adversely affected;
  • any requirement to travel internationally or work temporarily in another jurisdiction is reasonable and notified in advance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for all five entities
  • Produce consolidated financial statements for the group, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards
  • Maintain general ledger and sub ledgers, including journal entries
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Compliance, Statutory Reporting & Audit
  • Oversee preparation and submission of statutory financial statements
  • Lead audit preparation across all entities, including coordinating audit schedules, preparing supporting documentation, and acting as primary liaison with external auditors
  • Work with external accounting and tax partners to ensure compliance with relevant jurisdictional tax regulations
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Monitor cash flow across all entities and prepare forecasts
  • Support in managing banking relationships and oversee payments and receipts
  • Assist in optimising working capital and ensure adequate liquidity
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the quarterly and annual budgeting processes across all entities
  • Prepare financial reporting and variance analysis, including commentary
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
Process Improvement & Controls
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls across all entities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure consistency of financial processes and policies
Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight
  • Support senior leadership with financial analysis and reporting
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance‑related queries across entities
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance
  • Minimum 5 years’ post‑qualification experience, ideally in a multi‑entity environment
  • Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills
