WE ARE META in Portugal seeks a seasoned Cobol Developer to design, maintain and optimize mainframe applications. You’ll work with DB2, JCL and CICS in a production environment and ensure batch jobs run reliably. English (B2) is required; French is a plus.

The role offers a hybrid work model with two days a week in Lisbon or Porto offices, plus access to a national and international partner network. As a consultant, you’ll join a team that values detail and accountability.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience as a Cobol Developer.
• Proficiency in COBOL required for mainframe apps.
• Knowledge of DB2 for data queries from COBOL.
• Ability to write and manage JCL for batch jobs.
• English fluency at B2; French a plus.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• +6 years of experience as a Cobol Developer
• Proficiency in COBOL is required to develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of DB2 is necessary to design and execute relational database queries and manage data access from COBOL programs.
• Ability to write and manage JCL is required to define and execute batch jobs within the mainframe environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability in ensuring that COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL solutions meet production-grade quality standards.
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Fluency in French is a plus
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week in the Lisbon or Porto office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).
