WE ARE META is seeking a Senior Cobol Developer to join our Lisbon team. You will work as a consultant with exposure to national and international partners across diverse sectors of the tech industry.

The role requires +6 years of Cobol development, strong JCL and Endevor expertise, and DB2 knowledge. Fluency in French (B2) and English or Portuguese, with a hybrid work pattern in Lisbon, or a valid work permit for Portugal.

• Solid command of JCL for batch processing in mainframe environments
• Proficiency in Endevor for source code management and deployment pipelines
• Strong knowledge of DB2 for optimized queries and data handling

• Hybrid work model (Lisbon) and Portugal citizenship or valid work permit

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• +6 years of experience as a Cobol Developer
• Proven expertise in COBOL is required
• Solid command of JCL is essential to manage job scheduling, execution flows, and batch processing across mainframe environments
• Proficiency in Endevor is necessary to manage source code, control software changes, and ensure reliable deployment pipelines on the mainframe.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 is expected to write optimized queries, manage relational data structures, and support data-intensive COBOL applications.
• Fluency in French (B2)
• Fluency in English or Portuguese
• Availability for Hybrid model, 2 times a week (based in Lisbon)
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
