Job summary

Convatec is seeking a Tech Lead – Cloud Operations to drive architectural standards across AWS and Azure. The role partners with CloudOps, Security, Networking, and DevOps to build secure, resilient, and automated cloud environments.

You will guide technical decisions, review designs, and ensure observability and policy adherence across production and non‑production platforms. This role emphasizes technical leadership rather than people management, with potential on‑call duties and a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong cloud operations background with AWS and Azure.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep).
• ITIL or similar service management foundation helpful.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practices.
• Lead major incident investigations and root cause analyses to reduce recurrence.
• Design and evolve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation for reliability and DR.
• Prioritize technical debt and modernization with security and architecture teams.
• Act as a technical authority and mentor Cloud Operations engineers.
