Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group in Lisbon is seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to join an international product development team building scalable backend solutions for a rapidly growing B2B platform.

This hands-on architecture role involves shaping technical direction, designing cloud-native applications in Azure, and mentoring engineers while ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in Software Architecture and backend engineering.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Familiarity with DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, and microservices.
• Knowledge of architecture documentation and modelling approaches like arc42 and C4.
• Experience with Azure and cloud-native application development.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Clean Code and Test-Driven Development.
• Professional English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
• Define and evolve service architectures for scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Promote best practices around DDD, Clean Architecture, and software craftsmanship.
• Create architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions across teams.
• Contribute throughout the full software lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and operations.
• Help build and improve cloud-native solutions within Azure environments.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance where needed.
• Explore and promote the responsible use of AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
