Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a FinOps professional to strengthen cloud cost management across complex environments, supporting major organisations in banking, insurance, telecommunications, and energy. The role focuses on improving financial governance for cloud usage while helping teams make better decisions on spend, allocation, and optimisation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FinOps or cloud financial management.
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and optimisation strategies.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Power BI expertise for analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cloudability.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Implement FinOps standards, policies, and governance for cloud cost management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, recharging, and cost optimisation efforts.
• Track cloud spend, usage, trends, and anomalies, and provide timely insights.
• Identify optimisation opportunities that do not compromise service quality.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Improve cost tracking, allocation, automation, and financial accountability across teams.
