Fyld is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement and operate secure, scalable cloud environments from Porto, Portugal. You will collaborate with software engineering, DevOps and security teams to deliver production-ready cloud solutions.

The role emphasises automation, IaC and strong cloud security practices. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across AWS, Azure or GCP, IaC tooling, containerization and a passion for scalable architectures that meet business goals.

We're looking for an experienced

Cloud Engineer

with strong technical skills and a passion for designing, implementing and managing cloud environments.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Good understanding of core cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases and identity management
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep, CloudFormation or equivalent
• Experience designing and managing scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancing, routing and security groups
• Experience with cloud security, including IAM/RBAC, secrets management, encryption and security best practices
• Experience with containers, particularly Docker, and familiarity with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
• Ability to automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar scripting languages
• Experience working with Git and version control
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, security and infrastructure teams
• Fluency in English

Nice To Have

• Experience with more than one public cloud platform
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm or managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, EKS or GKE
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices
• Experience with cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator/Azure Solutions Architect or Google Cloud certifications
