Job summary

Planet Pharma seeks a Clinical Specialist (TAVI) to join its Structural Heart team in Portugal. You will provide procedural support and clinical training for transcatheter therapies, working with interventional cardiologists and hospital teams to enhance patient outcomes.

The role requires experience with TAVI or structural heart interventions, strong presentation skills, and willingness to travel across Portugal. Fluent Portuguese and English are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting TAVI, Structural Heart, interventional cardiology or cardiovascular medical devices.
• Clinical background as a Clinical Specialist, Cardiac Physiologist, Cath Lab Nurse, radiographer or similar.
• Strong understanding of catheterisation laboratory procedures and cardiovascular therapies.
• Willingness to travel throughout Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during TAVI procedures at customer hospitals.
• Support physicians, cath lab teams and clinical stakeholders throughout the patient pathway.
• Deliver product training and educational programmes to healthcare professionals.
• Ensure safe and effective use of products during procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Interventional Cardiologists and Heart Teams.
• Partner with commercial colleagues to support account development and therapy adoption.
• Attend conferences, workshops and customer education events.
• Maintain a high level of clinical, technical and product knowledge.

We are supporting a leading medical device company in the search for a Clinical Specialist (TAVI) to join their growing Structural Heart team in Portugal.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical professional with experience in cardiovascular interventions to work alongside leading physicians and hospital teams, supporting innovative transcatheter therapies that are transforming patient outcomes.

As a key member of the clinical team, you will provide expert procedural support, clinical training and customer education across a portfolio of TAVI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during TAVI procedures at customer hospitals.
• Support physicians, cath lab teams and clinical stakeholders throughout the patient pathway.
• Deliver product training and educational programmes to healthcare professionals.
• Ensure safe and effective use of products during procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons and Heart Teams.

• Maintain a high level of clinical, technical and product knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience supporting TAVI, Structural Heart, Interventional Cardiology or Cardiovascular Medical Devices.
• Clinical background as a Clinical Specialist, Cardiac Physiologist, Cath Lab Nurse, Radiographer or similar.
• Strong understanding of catheterisation laboratory procedures and cardiovascular therapies.
• Ability to confidently support complex procedures in a hospital environment.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Portugal.
• Fluent Portuguese and strong English language skills.

Preferred Experience

• Direct experience supporting TAVI procedures.
• Knowledge of structural heart therapies and technologies.
• Experience delivering physician and healthcare professional training.
• Previous medical device industry experience within cardiovascular interventions.
