Job summary

Biocol Labs in Lisbon is seeking a seasoned CFO/COO to lead Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Compliance. You will drive predictable revenue growth and scale a fast-moving, international organization while uphold financial and operational excellence.

The role requires strategic vision, strong execution, and a track record in scaling startups. You will mentor teams, partner with the CEO and investors, and navigate cross-border regulatory environments in a hybrid Lisbon-based setting.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in Operations, Finance, or COO/CFO roles.
• Proven track record scaling high-growth startups or international orgs.
• Strong background in Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Risk Management.
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Experience in consumer goods, health, or wellness is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership, fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational and financial strategies to achieve predictable €10M monthly revenue.
• Lead and oversee Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, and Compliance with alignment to business objectives.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for executive decisions.
• Optimize operational efficiency with scalable processes and automation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks with international standards compliance.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams and foster a culture of ownership and improvement.

About Biocol and Role Summary:

Biocol Labs is the post-chemical pharmacy, creating the health essentials for modern men and women, which traditional healthcare doesn't provide. It was founded in 1977 in Lisbon, with the mission of making chemicals redundant through nature and science.

Role Summary

You will play a pivotal role in helping Biocol Labs achieve a predictable monthly revenue of €10M, leading our Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Compliance divisions.

This position requires a seasoned leader with a strategic mindset and strong execution skills, capable of scaling operations in a fast-paced, international environment while ensuring financial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute operational and financial strategies that support Biocol’s goal of achieving predictable €10M monthly revenue.

• Lead and oversee Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, and Compliance, ensuring clear alignment with business objectives.

• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, providing insights to guide executive decision-making.

• Optimize operational efficiency across teams, implementing scalable processes and automation where possible.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, ensuring full compliance with international standards and regulations.

• Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to define strategic priorities and support long-term growth initiatives.

• Act as a key partner to investors, auditors, and financial institutions, ensuring transparency and credibility in all reporting.

• Oversee logistics, supply chain planning, and procurement to guarantee timely product delivery and cost efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

• Senior experience in Operations, Finance, or a combined COO/CFO capacity.

• Proven track record in scaling high-growth startups or international organizations.

• Strong background in Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Risk Management.

• Demonstrated success in building and leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution.

• Experience in consumer goods, health, or wellness sectors is a strong plus.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).
