Job summary

COFCO International is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Porto to ensure that all bank movements are correctly recognized and duly supported in the accounting books. You will monitor the bank postings, prepare daily entries, collaborate with teams, and support month-end reconciliations.

English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus, and SAP experience is desirable. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, at least two years of experience, and a proactive, organized

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in accounting.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is a plus.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong planning, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily bank postings.
• Prepare and record daily bank entries from statements and GL data.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information for bank postings.
• Execute month-end bank reconciliations and document evidence.
• Support reporting on bank accounting entries and intercompany cash flows.
• Contribute to process improvements related to postings and reconciliations.
• Perform other reporting duties or ad-hoc tasks as required.

Job purpose

Ensure that all the bank movements are correctly recognized and duly supported in the accounting books.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily monitoring and controlling on the bank posting process;
• Prepare and record daily bank entries by compiling and analyzing bank statement and G/L account information;
• To collaborate with other teams to get the necessary information to proceed with bank postings;
• Responsible for the execution of the monthly bank reconciliations;
• To document month end bank evidences and supports;
• To collaborate with other teams to provide reports based on the bank accounting entries;Continuous improvement processes related to bank postings and bank reconciliations;
• Prepare and review intercompany cash flow position at month end;
• Perform other reporting duties or ad-hoc tasks as required by the line manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Economy or related discipline;
• At least 2 years of work experience in accounting area;
• Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferable);
• SAP experience (preferable);
• Ability to multitask and set priorities;
