Job summary

Atto Trading is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join our rapidly expanding trading platform team in Lisbon. You will design and implement high-performance components, targeting ultra-low latency for large-scale alpha trading across asset classes.

Projects involve kernel-level networking interfaces, profiling-driven optimization, and collaboration with researchers. A BS in a technical field and strong C++14/17 (C++20 a plus) are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of C++ development on Linux
• C++14/17; C++20 is a strong plus
• Python and/or Bash scripting experience
• Linux systems programming, IPC and multithreading
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience with latency and throughput optimization, profiling and PGO

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy performance-critical components for large-scale trading infrastructure.
• Develop high-frequency trading (HFT) systems in C++ with low latency and reliability.
• Write modern, efficient C++ code.
• Interface with networking hardware via kernel-bypassing drivers.
• Conduct performance research to push speed and scalability of the platform.
