Job summary

Decskill, an IT consulting firm with over a decade of experience, is seeking a Senior C# Developer to join its Lisbon/Porto/Madrid oriented team. You will develop and maintain web apps using C# and ASP.NET, design backend with EF, and implement secure REST APIs, while hosting on IIS and integrating with Azure AD.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup (3 days per week in the office) and a focus on high-quality software delivery, security, and scalable

We are looking for a C# Senior Developer!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using C# and ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Design and implement backend functionalities using Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
• Develop and maintain web services and REST APIs.
• Work with SQL Server databases, including database queries and data management.
• Manage application hosting and deployment in IIS (Internet Information Services).
• Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms using ASP.NET Core Identity or integrations with Azure Active Directory.
• Apply security best practices to protect applications against common vulnerabilities, including SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF).
• Use version control and development tools to support code quality and collaboration.
• Contribute to application architecture and design, including the MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable, secure and maintainable solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in C# and Microsoft technologies, particularly ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of IIS and web application hosting.
• Experience with Entity Framework or other Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
• Experience with SQL Server; knowledge of other databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps for version control and development workflows.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorisation and secure application development practices.
• Understanding of web application architecture, MVC and REST APIs.
• Ability to work collaboratively, solve technical problems and contribute to high-quality software delivery.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the office.
