Carrier is seeking a Buyer in Matosinhos to manage day-to-day purchasing, create and follow up POs, and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries. You will negotiate terms, monitor pricing, and support planning, warehouse teams, and quality on non-conformities, while maintaining ERP data accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in purchasing, strong Excel/ERP skills, and fluent English, with a proactive, collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related roles (1–3 years preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, SAP, or similar).
• Good analytical and Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of purchasing and inventory management processes.
• Ability to manage Vendor communication, quotations, and negotiations.
• Commercial mindset with focus on cost optimization and efficiency.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Request and compare quotations for new and existing components.
• Monitor pricing evolution and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Support vendor relationships and assist with critical issues when needed.
• Collaborate with Planning and Warehouse Teams to ensure material availability and minimize shortages.
• Update ERP data (pricing, lead times, vendor information) and track procurement KPIs.

About The Role

As Buyer you will:

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring materials are ordered and delivered on time
• Create and follow up Purchase Orders with Vendors
• Maintain regular communication with Vendors regarding deliveries, order confirmations, delays, and operational issues
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial conditions with Vendors for day-to-day purchasing activities
• Request and compare quotations from Vendors for new and existing components
• Monitor pricing evolution and identify opportunities for cost reduction and purchasing optimization
• Support Vendor relationship management and  critical issues when needed
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Warehouse Teams to support material availability and minimize shortages
• Support Quality Team on non-conformities, claims, and Vendor documentation follow-up
• Monitor and update ERP data, including pricing, lead times, Vendor information, and purchasing conditions
• Track Procurement KPIs and support reporting activities
• Support inventory management by monitoring lead times, stock levels, MOQs, and purchasing parameters
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Procurement and Supply Chain processes
