Job summary

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is seeking a Business Controller for Business Operations in Alcantra, Portugal. Hybrid, permanent, full-time role within the SDO team focusing on maximizing financial contribution and forecast accuracy.

You will partner with Finance Business Partners, Group R&A, Asset Accounting, and the Reporting & Analytics CoE to drive better financial performance year over year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance; MBA/CMA/CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in business controlling or FP&A.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and controlling activities.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA) and strong Excel skills.
• Experience with consolidation and planning tools such as IBM Cognos and Jedox is a plus.
• Fluent English; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial and business controlling; explain deviations with root-cause analysis in collaboration with Finance Business Partners.
• Prepare financial plans and rolling forecasts with Finance Business Partners using Jedox.
• Support Group R&A with inventory accounting, reconciliation, stock difference and aging analysis.
• Analyze PPV and purchase orders; provide insights into maintenance costs using BI on spare parts usage.
• Monitor CAPEX and fixed assets with Asset Accounting; assist capitalization inputs.
• Communicate updates and issues in the financial controlling process to the CoE Solution Lead.
• Support projects by supplying and uploading data requests from Finance Business Partners.
• Identify ways to extend and improve process scope within business controlling.
• Participate in ERP/consolidation/planning tool training to enhance capabilities.
