Job summary

Nimber is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong QA background to join a challenging project in Treasury Solutions and Cash Management applications. You will work in an international IT team across Portugal and France, focusing on maintaining and enhancing critical banking applications and APIs.

The role combines business analysis, functional testing and stakeholder management, ensuring accurate translation of requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, QA or both.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Project Management or related field.
• Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

At Nimber, we're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong Quality Assurance background to join a challenging project within the investment banking sector, focused on Treasury Solutions and Cash Management applications.

You'll be part of an international IT team working across Portugal and France, responsible for maintaining and enhancing business-critical applications and APIs, while supporting end users.

This role combines business analysis, functional testing and stakeholder management, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions that meet high quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, document and validate requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories and use cases.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and execute functional tests and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify, document and track defects, ensuring their resolution before delivery.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Work closely with developers, QA teams and business stakeholders to ensure solution quality.
• Maintain accurate and accessible functional and testing documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote best practices and support less experienced team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

What We're Looking For

• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance or a combination of both.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Project Management or a related field.
• Solid experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• Strong experience in test case design, execution and defect management.
• Knowledge of SQL and UML.
• Experience with Jira Xray and test documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Understanding of banking or financial services processes.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities independently and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above and French at B1 level or above.

Nice to Have

• Experience with test automation tools, such as Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber or Postman.
• Previous exposure to Cash Management, Treasury Solutions or banking applications.
• Experience supporting and maintaining applications in production environments.
• Previous experience mentoring junior team members or promoting QA best practices.
