Job summary

Extia Group is seeking a proactive Business Analyst to join our Porto or Lisbon teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders, document business needs, and translate them into functional specifications for IT applications and APIs.

You will design and execute Test Cases, manage UAT, and coordinate defect resolution with development teams, while using Jira, Confluence, and Jira Xray to ensure traceability and quality. English B2 and French B1 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
• Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, functional specifications and use case documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Test Case Design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect management and test execution.
• Good understanding of SQL and UML.
• Experience with Jira Xray and test documentation.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Excellent communication skills, with English at B2 level minimum and French at B1 level minimum.

First who:

• Experienced and proactive Business Analyst, with 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Software Testing, or IT project environments.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, use cases, and clear documentation to support the development and maintenance of IT applications and APIs.

• Identify, document, and report defects, while monitoring their resolution and coordinating with development teams throughout the testing and delivery lifecycle.
• Work with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Xray to manage requirements, track testing activities, document defects, and maintain project traceability.
• Use SQL to support data validation and testing activities, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of application outputs.
• Maintain up-to-date and accessible functional and test documentation, following established standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, promoting quality practices within the team.

What We're Looking For:

• 3 to 6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst
• Solid experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, functional specifications, and use case documentation.
