Job summary

InnoTech in Lisbon is seeking a Broadcast Support Technician to monitor and support broadcast equipment, ensuring smooth live transmissions. You will provide hands-on technical assistance during events and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires 2+ years in television broadcast tech, knowledge of SDI/IP, NDI, AV networking, and streaming tech, plus strong technical English. CPLP or EU work permit is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technical support for television broadcasting or sports events.
• Training or education in Broadcasting, Audiovisual Technologies, Electronics, CS or related field.
• Knowledge of SDI/IP, NDI, AV networking, and streaming technologies.
• Technical English skills to understand documentation and communicate technical information.
• CPLP nationality or EU work permit required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support broadcast equipment, including cameras, switchers, encoders, and playout systems, ensuring reliable live transmissions.
• Provide technical assistance during live broadcasts and events, troubleshooting audio and video issues as they arise.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on audiovisual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Test signal quality and manage ingest and transcoding workflows to support reliable media delivery.
• Handle and resolve technical support requests through service desk processes.

You Will Need

• Training or education in Broadcasting, Audiovisual Technologies, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field;
• Knowledge of SDI/IP, NDI, AV networking, and streaming technologies;
• Technical English skills to understand documentation and communicate technical information;
• CPLP nationality or an EU work permit is required to facilitate employment.

Would Be Awesome If You Have

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields;
• Experience troubleshooting broadcast equipment and audiovisual signal workflows in live production environments;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to technical issues under pressure.
