REQUIMTE - Rede de Quimica e Tecnologia invites applications for a Research Fellowship (BI) at the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, University of Porto. The project investigates endocrine disruptors and their effects on metabolic pathways, requiring a Biochemistry background and demonstrated cell biology experience.

The fellowship lasts 6 months (01/01/2027 start), renewable for equal periods, with a monthly stipend of €1,090.98 and social security/work insurance support; graded by national

Competenze

• BSc degree in Biochemistry or related field with final grade ≥17/20
• Enrollment in MSc in Quality Control or related non-degree course in collaboration with an R&D unit
• Publications/conference communications demonstrating experience with cellular systems and viability/oxidative stress assays
• Foreign degree must comply with Decree-Law no. 66/2018 and related formalities at contract signature

Mansioni

• Evaluate effects of different endocrine disruptors (parabens, bisphenols, phthalates) and their mixtures on metabolic pathways related to insulin resistance and lipid regulation
• Perform cell culture manipulations and viability/oxidative stress assays
• Supervise and report findings under the supervision of the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, University of Porto
• Contribute to dissemination of results per project requirements
• Support selection process including potential interview stage with a 30% interview component
