team.it is seeking a Big Data Linux Engineer to join a critical data platform team in Lisbon. You will administer Linux environments, optimize operations, and automate maintenance using Python and Ansible within an Agile setting.

The role focuses on JVM and middleware troubleshooting, distributed storage management, and ensuring scalable, high-availability data platforms using Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystems. Hybrid work three days a week.

Qualificações

• Strong experience in Linux System Engineering & Operations.
• Proven experience with automation tools and scripting, namely Python and Ansible.
• Solid knowledge of JVM and middleware troubleshooting.
• Experience monitoring and diagnosing Linux servers and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, RAID, and distributed storage architectures.
• Experience working with Big Data platforms and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of the Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem (professional experience or training).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in large-scale data environments.
• Experience with infrastructure performance tuning and capacity management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Linux Systems Engineering, Automation, and Big Data Platforms to support large-scale distributed systems, troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, and contribute to the optimization of data platforms. You will work closely with technical teams in an Agile environment, helping to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
