Job summary

A Plain Concepts procura um BI Specialist para desenhar e manter a camada analítica da plataforma de dados, convertendo dados brutos em datasets confiáveis e insights acionáveis pela liderança. A função é hands-on e técnica, envolvendo modelagem de dados, construção de modelos e entrega de soluções de reporting.

O candidato ideal terá experiência com SQL, BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Looker) e ETL/ELT, além de sensibilidade para qualidade de dados e desempenho.

Qualifications

• Graduação relevante em área tecnológica.
• Pelo menos 3 anos como BI Developer, Data Analyst ou função similar.
• Forte experiência com SQL e bancos de dados relacionais.
• Experiência em dashboards interativos com Power BI/Tableau/Looker.
• Compreensão de modelagem de dados (esquemas estrela, snowflake).
• Experiência em ETL/ELT e pipelines de dados.
• Conhecimento de plataformas em nuvem ( Azure/AWS/Google Cloud ) é desejável.
• Inglês fluente, escrito e falado.

Responsibilities

• Projetar, desenvolver e manter soluções BI (relatórios, dashboards e modelos de dados).
• Traduzir requisitos de negócio em modelos de dados escaláveis e visualizações.
• Construir e otimizar pipelines ETL/ELT para dados confiáveis e disponíveis.
• Colaborar com Engenheiros de Dados para melhorar qualidade, desempenho e arquitetura.
• Definir KPIs com stakeholders e manter definições de métricas consistentes.
• Melhorar soluções de reporting com foco em usabilidade, desempenho e manutenibilidade.
• Apoiar práticas de governança de dados e documentação.
• Identificar proativamente oportunidades de melhoria.

You’ll help us design and own the analytical layer of our data platform, from modeling raw data into clean, trusted datasets to delivering insights that leadership actually uses.

We are looking for a BI Developer who is comfortable working across the full BI stack: from raw data to business-facing dashboards. This role is hands-on and technical. You'll be building data models, shaping datasets, and delivering reporting solutions that people actually use to make decisions. You should care about data quality, performance, and clean modeling, not just making dashboards look good.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions (reports, dashboards, and data models) that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models and meaningful visualizations.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliable and timely data availability.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to improve data quality, performance, and architecture.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure consistent metric definitions.
• Improve existing reporting solutions, focusing on usability, performance, and maintainability.
• Support data governance practices and documentation standards.
• Troubleshoot data issues and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience building interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) is considered an advantage.
• Experience working in Agile environments is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
