Job summary

Amadeus in Lisbon is seeking a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to turn data into actionable insights. You will design and build dashboards with Power BI and Qlik, translate business needs into robust reporting solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

The role involves writing SQL, optimizing ETL processes, building Python scripts, and contributing to data architecture and BI best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Experience with QlikView and/or Qlik Sense, including scripting, data loading and dashboard development.
• Good knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with ETL and data integration processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts is an advantage.
• Experience with Git or other version-control tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Qlik.
• Translate business requirements into effective BI and reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and database structures.
• Create Python scripts for data transformation, automation and integration.
• Build and maintain ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs.
• Ensure the quality, reliability and performance of reporting solutions.
• Contribute to improvements in data architecture, BI standards and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate data and reporting processes.
