Job summary

Closer Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Senior BI Developer to join the team in a hybrid model. You’ll design and optimize SQL/T-SQL solutions, develop ETL processes, and build dimensional models and OLAP cubes, with Power BI and DAX driving business insights.

The role requires 7+ years in BI development or related fields, deep SQL expertise, Power BI/DAX, ETL, and English fluency. You’ll collaborate with BI and Data Engineering and contribute to scalable, robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in BI Development, Data Warehousing, or Data Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL/T-SQL with ability to explain query performance.
• Power BI with strong DAX modeling and development experience.
• ETL processes and data warehouse architecture experience.
• Expertise in performance optimization: indexes, execution plans, bottleneck analysis.
• Dimensional modeling with star schemas and cubes.
• Strong understanding of business models and logic.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL/T-SQL solutions.
• Develop and manage robust ETL processes in Enterprise Data Warehouse environments.
• Build and evolve star schemas, fact/dimension tables, and OLAP cubes.
• Translate complex business models into efficient BI solutions using Power BI and DAX.
• Collaborate with BI and Data Engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Apply best practices and participate in architecture discussions regarding optimization.
