Beam.lu is seeking a Backend Lead in Lisbon to own the server-side platform, shaping architecture, code quality, performance, and engineering practices. You will write code weekly, review PRs, and mentor engineers, reporting to the CTO. The role is hybrid in Lisbon with relocation support for the right candidate.

You will design bounded contexts, implement CQRS, and drive data modeling with PostgreSQL, EF Core 8, and API standardization behind a YARP gateway.

Qualificações

• 7+ years building production backend systems in C# / .NET.
• 2+ years on .NET 6 or newer; strong ASP.NET Core, EF Core, PostgreSQL experience.
• Proven CQRS and Clean Architecture in real systems.
• Hands-on with MediatR, FluentValidation, AutoMapper; opinion on their use.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging (MassTransit or equivalent).
• Auth: JWT/OAuth2/OIDC; ASP.NET Core Identity; scope/claim-based control.
• Azure: App Service/Container Apps, Blob Storage, Managed Identity, Application Insights.
• Docker, CI/CD (Azure DevOps); trunk-based or short-lived branches.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture and evolution of the IPMS backend using a modular monolith with CQRS and Clean Architecture.
• Design bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain workflows with MediatR, FluentValidation, and AutoMapper.
• Lead messaging and integration via MassTransit, including transactional outbox, sagas, retries, idempotency.
• Guide data modeling and PostgreSQL migrations with EF Core 8; optimize queries and indexing.
• Define API standards across services behind the YARP gateway; enforce JWT, OAuth2, and scope-based auth.
• Drive observability with OpenTelemetry and Application Insights; respond to production incidents.
• Lead code reviews, set testing standards (xUnit, FluentAssertions, Moq); maintain SonarQube gates.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker builds, and Azure deployments with Managed Identity.
• Mentor backend engineers, run architecture decisions, and author ADRs documenting rationale.
