iCliGo is seeking a proactive Backend Software Tester to ensure quality and performance of our backend services. You will design and run automated tests for APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to prevent defects and deliver a flawless user experience.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree, 3+ years in QA/testing, and hands-on experience with Java testing frameworks, APIs, and databases.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
• Solid experience testing backend systems with Java (JUnit/TestNG).
• Hands-on testing of REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases for test validation.
• Familiar with CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Strong QA methodologies knowledge.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication in a hybrid/remote setting.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Backend Software Tester to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of iCliGo’s products through automated testing, focusing on backend testing with Java. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues early, prevent defects, and deliver a flawless user experience to our customers.

• Identify, document, and track bugs; collaborate with developers to resolve them;
• Conduct performance, load, and reliability testing of backend systems;
• Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices across the development lifecycle;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA tools, frameworks, workflows and CI/CD pipelines;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or in a similar role;
• Solid experience testing backend systems with Java (e.g., JUnit or TestNG);
• Hands‑on experience testing REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, Karate);
• Good understanding of relational and non‑relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB) for test validation;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab);
• Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools, and processes;
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail;
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid/remote team.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, or k6);
• Experience with UI/E2E automation (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) is a strong plus.
