Codacy is seeking an Intermediate Backend Software Engineer to work on our core cloud engine and CLI/IDE tools. We operate remotely, asynchronously when possible, with strong emphasis on clear written communication and thoughtful reviews.

Day-to-day you will contribute to product squads, own features end-to-end, design and optimize Scala services for reliability and scalability, and occasionally work on TypeScript/Go tools.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of professional Scala experience.
• Familiarity with functional programming principles.
• Strong knowledge of API design, microservices, distributed systems and cloud services.
• Solid SQL and data storage experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proficiency with Git and Git workflows.

Your mission

As anIntermediate Backend Software Engineer, you will work across our portfolio of products, including our core cloud engine processing tens of thousands of commits every day and our command-line and IDE tools.

We work remotely, asynchronously whenever possible, and value written communication, thoughtful design discussions, and collaborative code reviews.

What will be your day-to-day:

• Contribute to a product-focused squad, developing core features and components.

Your profile

• Experience with Scalaina professional setting is required (2+ years); familiarity with other JVM-based languages like Java or Kotlin is a plus.

• Understanding of functional programming principles.

• Solid knowledge of API design, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based services.

• Solid knowledge of SQL and other data storage systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Proficiency with Git and Git workflows.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.

• Good communication skills and fluency in English.

Bonus points:

• Previous experience working with TypeScript, Python, Go, or Kotlin.

• Experience building developer integrations like command-line tools or IDE extensions.
