Stratio Automotive is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build and scale the vehicle information platform, delivering reliable REST/JSON APIs using .NET Core while ensuring performance and cost-effectiveness. You will join a software team working across cross-functional, self-organized squads in an agile environment.
The role requires a strong C# background, SQL Server experience, and fluency in English, with remote, hybrid, or Coimbra-office options in Portugal.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you are responsible for curating the structure of server-side information. This means developing, maintaining and scaling up our platform and our vehicle information database, ensuring its reliability, scalability, performance and cost-effectiveness. You will be part of our Software team, where multiple cross-functional and self-organized teams work together to create robust and innovative solutions that increase the value, efficiency and reliability of our web and mobile applications.
Participate in the specification of new features and improvements, supporting our Product Owner;
Implement and maintain core services with business logic, serving REST/JSON APIs implemented with .NET Core;
Design and implement the software architecture to support high availability and horizontal scalability;
Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance;
Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment.
Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
Strong technical background with a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or similar relevant fields;
Strong knowledge of C#;
Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly SQL Server;
Knowledge of software design and architecture;
Understanding of various coding methods and computer languages;
Knowledge of software development life‑cycle processes;
Reliability and great problem‑solving skills, with great attention to detail;
Ability to work under pressure;
Fluency in English.
Annual Gross Salary Band for the role: 30,000€ - 40,000€
