Job summary

JobCloud HR Tech in Porto, Portugal, seeks a curious Backend Software Engineer to build and maintain integrations connecting our ecosystem with external platforms. You will write clean code, design scalable services and work with international teams.

The role emphasizes reliability, automated testing, and collaboration; you will participate in code reviews and help improve deployment and system resilience in a hybrid work setup with opportunities to travel to company locations for workshops.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Back-end Software Development.
Strong programming experience in Python and/or PHP.
Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews and automated testing.
Curiosity and willingness to continuously expand technical knowledge.
Strong work ethic, self-discipline and a collaborative mindset.
Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development is a plus.
Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain integrations with external systems for both inbound and outbound data streams.
Monitor the health and reliability of integration services and resolve operational issues when needed.
Participate in the design and implementation of new features and services.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders across international teams.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the team's development processes.

4+ years of experience in Back-end Software Development.
Strong programming experience in Python and/or PHP.
Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.

Curiosity and willingness to continuously expand your technical knowledge.
