IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to join an international technology project focused on scalable enterprise applications and modern microservices architectures. You will design, develop and maintain high-performance backend services in Java with Spring Boot, integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and ensuring security with OIDC/RBAC.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Java backend, deep knowledge of microservices, CI/CD, and experience with relational databases.

• 8+ years of professional Java backend experience (Senior)
• Strong Java, Spring Boot and microservices experience
• Designing scalable, secure backend services
• RESTful and GraphQL APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger docs
• Auth solutions including Keycloak, Okta, OIDC and RBAC
• Event-driven architectures and messaging (AWS SQS, Solace)
• SQL and relational databases
• Automated testing, Git, code reviews, CI/CD
• SonarQube and Snyk for quality & security
• Agile and DevOps practices
• React integration with frontend
• Portuguese and English at C1; resident in Portugal
• Nice-to-have: AWS, Kubernetes, performance optimization, ADRs
• Mentoring and technical knowledge-sharing
• Experience with international teams

We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer to join an international technology project focused on scalable enterprise applications and modern microservices architectures.

• Confirmed: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Java Backend development
• Senior: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Java Backend development
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable, secure and high-performance backend services
• Development and integration of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
• Experience with authentication and authorization solutions, including Keycloak, Okta, OIDC and RBAC
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as AWS SQS and Solace
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with automated testing, Git, Code Reviews and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with code quality and security tools, including SonarQube and Snyk
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of React and integration with frontend applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Portuguese and English C1 — mandatory
• Candidates must currently reside in Portugal

Условия:

• Hybrid – Lisbon, Portugal 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week
• Full-time – 40 hours per week
• Candidates must reside in Portugal
• €2,800–€3,100 gross per month.
