A Match Profiler está a procurar um engenheiro backend com forte experiência em Java para integrar uma equipa de consultoria em TI com foco em soluções escaláveis. O candidato ideal atuará no desenvolvimento de APIs e microserviços Java, incluindo testes automatizados, e explorará ferramentas de IA no fluxo de trabalho diário.

A posição exige comunicação em inglês e capacidade de trabalhar num ambiente rápido, com foco em inovação e entrega de valor aos clientes.

Qualificações

• 4+ anos de experiência prática em desenvolvimento backend.
• Experiência com Java (Quarkus é um plus).
• Experiência prática no uso de ferramentas de IA assistidas pelo desenvolvimento diàrio (ex.: GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude Code).
• Experiência em desenhar e construir APIs e microserviços Java que funcionem com fiabilidade em produção.
• Experiência em escrever testes automatizados de unidade e integração para sistemas backend.
• Capacidade de entender o contexto funcional e de negócio de uma funcionalidade antes de desenhar a solução técnica.
• Curiosidade e vontade de experimentar novas ferramentas de IA e integrá-las de forma responsável no dia-a-dia do desenvolvimento.
• Confortável num ambiente dinâmico onde práticas de IA ainda estão a evoluir.
• Experiência com integrações baseadas em LLM, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) ou workflows de orquestração é um plus.
• Familiaridade com MCP (Model Context Protocol) ou ferramenta/contexto semelhante que conecta assistentes de IA a sistemas internos é um plus.
• Conhecimentos de práticas de desenvolvimento nativo IA além de autocomplete, como frameworks de desenvolvimento orientados a especificação, bibliotecas de prompts ou skills, e fluxos de automação são um plus.
• Boas habilidades de comunicação verbal e escrita em inglês.

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
• Experience with Java. (Quarkus is a plus)
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude Code, or similar as part of a daily engineering workflow
• Experience designing and building APIs and Java-based microservices that run reliably at scale in production
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests for backend systems
• Ability to understand the functional and business context of a feature before designing the technical solution
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new AI tools and integrate them responsibly into day-to-day development practices
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where AI-assisted development practices are still evolving
• Experience with LLM-based integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or agent orchestration workflows is a plus
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool/context integrations that connect AI assistants to internal systems is a plus
• Exposure to AI-native development practices beyond code completion, such as spec-driven development frameworks, custom prompt or skill libraries, and automation workflows is a plus
