Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Quarkus.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and reviews.
• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices in production.
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD issues and improve efficiency with AI tools.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, and Product teams across the lifecycle.

We are looking for a Mid Backend AI Developer to join a highly skilled team and play a key role in developing reliable, scalable backend solutions while embracing AI-driven development practices.

This is a great opportunity for a Backend Developer who wants to take their experience with Java further and work in an environment where Artificial Intelligence is part of the everyday engineering workflow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Quarkus
• Use AI-assisted development tools such a GitLab Duo, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Develop and maintain Java‑based microservices running in production environments
• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend and CI/CD issues, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and root-cause analysis
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices
• Collaborate closely with Backend Developers, QA, and Product teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Explore and adopt new AI-native development practices to improve productivity and software quality
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend development processes and practices

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of professional experience in Backend Development
• Strong experience with Java; experience with Quarkus is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and microservices for production environments
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand business and functional requirements before defining technical solutions.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies and development practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Intermediate English (B2 or above).

Nice to have:

Experience with LLM-based integrations, RAG, or AI agents. Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI integrations. Experience with AI-native development, prompt/skill libraries, or AI-powered automation workflows.

Hybrid work model: 2/3 days per week in the office.
