Dellent is hiring a Quarkus AI Engineer for a mobility-focused project in Porto. You will contribute to building backend Java microservices, APIs, and AI-enabled features in a hybrid work setup. English communication and collaboration across teams are essential as you translate business needs into technical solutions.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, LLM integrations, and modern development practices within a dynamic mobility domain.

Qualificações

• 4 years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Java; Quarkus is a plus.
• APIs and scalable Java-based microservices design.
• Automated unit and integration testing experience.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

We are hiring aQuarkus AI Engineerfor a project inPorto (hybrid).

Requirements:

• 4 years of backend development experience;
• Strong experience with Java; Quarkus is a plus;
• Experience designing APIs and scalable Java-based microservices;
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing;
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude Code, or similar);
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability;
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with LLM integrations, RAG, or agent orchestration;
• Familiarity with MCP or similar AI tool/context integrations;
• Exposure to AI-native development practices, including spec-driven development, prompt/skill libraries.
