SWJ Portugal Engineering Solutions in Lisboa is expanding its engineering team for automotive E/E systems. The Wiring Harness Engineer will guide harness development from concept through series production, working with CAE/CAD teams to deliver compliant, robust electrical systems for automotive programs.

Responsibilities include 3D harness design in CATIA V5 EHI, 2D documentation, connector integration, and coordination with OEMs and suppliers under VOBES 2025.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Substantial professional experience in vehicle electrical system development.

Responsabilidades

• Develop vehicle wiring harnesses (LV/HV) from concept to series production.
• Design, maintain and optimise 3D wiring harness models using CATIA V5 EHI and update 2D documentation.
• Develop and route wiring harnesses considering installation space, thermal and EMC requirements.
• Design and integrate connectors, wiring harness components and electrical interfaces per OEM specs.
• Implement change management and maintain development documentation in customer systems (Teamcenter, KVS).
• Coordinate with development engineers, OEMs and suppliers and contribute to the VOBES 2025 process.

To strengthen our team in the field of vehicle wiring harness development, we are seeking developers specialising in automotive E/E systems.

As a Wiring Harnesss Engineer, you will work closely with technology and design components and assemblies from the initial idea to series production. Your tasks at a glance:

• Development of vehicle wiring harnesses (LV/HV) from the concept phase through to series production
• Design, maintenance and optimisation of 3D wiring harness models using CATIA V5 EHI, including the generation and updating of the associated 2D documentation
• Development and routing of wiring harnesses, taking into account installation space, assembly, thermal and EMC requirements
• Design and integration of connectors, wiring harness components and electrical interfaces in accordance with OEM specifications
• Implementation of change management, maintenance of development Documentation and data management in customer systems (e.g. Teamcenter, KVS)
• Close technical coordination with development engineers, OEMs and suppliers, as well as collaboration in the development process in accordance with VOBES 2025
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a comparable discipline
• Substantial professional experience in the field of vehicle electrical system development
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 EHI
• Practical experience with VOBES 2025 is essential
• Good knowledge of automotive E/E systems, vehicle electrical systems and vehicle integration
• A structured and independent approach to work, as well as strong teamwork skills
• Good communication skills and a passion for collaborating on international projects
• Very good command of English (knowledge of German is an advantage)
