Yazaki is seeking a Component Engineer for the Porto Technical Centre, Faro site in Portugal. You will design and develop routing components for automotive wire harness systems, ensuring performance, manufacturability and cost targets across the product lifecycle.

Reporting to the area supervisor, you will work with customers, Product/Manufacturing Engineering, Suppliers and Program Teams to deliver robust, cost-effective routing solutions and contribute to plant-wide continuous improvement,

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks) and EPLAN.

Responsabilidades

• Design, development, validation and continuous improvement of routing components for wire harness systems.
• Prepare parts sketches for purchase requests and external contractors.
• Create 3D models and drawings of components and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Set up prototype/testing and record results to guide design changes.
• Collaborate with customers, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Suppliers and Program Teams.
• Provide technical direction and present status reports.
