Job summary

Eurofirms Group Portugal is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer (M/F) for a prestigious automotive company in the Murtede area. You will support the development of the simulation workflow, generate surface topographies, implement and validate models, and help standardize friction modeling methods.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, living near Murtede, knowledge of thermodynamics, fluids, mechanics, and basic MATLAB or Python

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Living near Murtede.
• Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and tribology.
• Foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanics.
• Experience or interest in simulation and modeling tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python).
• Analytical thinking and structured working style.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Full-time 40h work week.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the simulation workflow.
• Generate artificial surface topographies using and extending MIT software
• Implement and validate simulation models.
• Help establish a standardized simulation methodology for future friction modeling tasks.
