Job summary

Next Engineering is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our remote-friendly team. You will drive Java-based test automation, leveraging Selenium, RestAssured, and WireMock to ensure the quality of React-based web applications and REST APIs.

You will collaborate within Agile/Scrum squads, use Jira and Xray for defect tracking, and work with Oracle databases and SQL. Our base salary ranges from €1,400 to €2,000 plus benefits and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• More than 6 years of experience in QA automation.
• Strong experience with Java-based test automation and Selenium.
• Hands-on REST API testing and SQL/Oracle knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and Jira/Xray.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams to ensure quality throughout the sprint.
• Analyze defects and verify fixes, manage test artifacts in Jira/Xray.

• Strong experience with Java Test Automation, including: Selenium, RestAssured, WireMock;
• Experience testing modern web applications, particularly React-based solutions;
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, and defect management processes;
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing;
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL;
• Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools;
• Familiarity with Liquibase or other database migration/versioning tools;
• Experience working with Jira and Xray;
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
