The ideal candidate has around 2 years in contract administration on construction projects, strong English skills, and proficient ICT abilities.

Qualificações

  • 2 years of experience in contract administration or cost management on construction projects under FIDIC forms of contract.
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • High level of English.

Responsabilidades

  • Supporting the delivery of project objectives.
  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
  • Assisting with contract oversight and supporting the contract assurance process on FIDIC projects.
  • Supporting the preparation and assessment of claims.
  • Assisting with change control and variation management processes.
  • Supporting contracting strategy, oversight, and approvals.
  • Contributing to proactive commercial risk management across projects.
  • Attending and contributing to project meetings as required.
  • Monitoring project activities and promptly reporting any issues that may arise, particularly those that could impact Gleeds’ professional indemnity insurance.
  • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

About this opportunity

The Assistant FIDIC Engineer supports the Contracts Manager in overseeing the contractual aspects of construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with FIDIC contract terms, assisting with risk mitigation, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects while supporting business objectives.

Location: Sines, Portugal. This role requires being on-site during the work week. No rotation or fly-in/fly-out arrangement applies

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
  • 2 years of experience in contract administration or cost management on construction projects under FIDIC forms of contract.

  • Engineering degree, QS degree or similar
