Job summary

ARC International Design Consultants, a London and Lisbon‑based architectural practice, is seeking an architect with 1–3 years’ professional experience to join our international team.

You’ll work on medium- to large-scale projects, collaborating with senior architects, engineers and consultants from design development through to construction documentation, with exposure to the Middle East and Portugal markets and hospitality, healthcare or residential design opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 1–3 years’ experience within an architectural practice.
• Experience contributing to medium- or large-scale projects.
• Strong working knowledge of BIM tools (Revit) and CAD.

The Role

We’re looking for an Architect with around 1–3 years of professional experience to join our team and contribute to a range of medium- to large-scale international projects.

You’ll work closely with senior architects, engineers and specialist consultants across the design and delivery process, with exposure to projects from design development through to tender and construction documentation.

Experience working on projects in the Middle East and/or Portugal would be particularly valuable, while previous exposure to hospitality, healthcare or residential projects would be a strong advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop architectural drawings, models and specifications for assigned project packages.
• Contribute to design development, detailing and technical resolution.
• Produce and support tender and construction documentation.
• Coordinate architectural information with engineers and specialist consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
• Manage assigned workstreams and track tasks against project programmes.
• Attend design and coordination meetings with project and team leads.
• Translate client and consultant feedback into design refinements.
• Support site visits, technical reports, RFIs and design clarifications.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding materials, finishes, products and samples.
• Apply BIM and CAD standards consistently across project work.
• Support project sustainability requirements and targets.
• Contribute to presentations, visualisations and other client-facing material.
• Share knowledge and lessons learned with the wider studio.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Around 1–3 years' experience within an architectural practice.
• Experience contributing to medium- or large-scale projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and CAD, alongside relevant visualisation and presentation tools.
• A good understanding of architectural design development and technical detailing.
• The ability to work independently on defined tasks while collaborating effectively as part of a wider project team.
• Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to project delivery.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to coordinate with different disciplines.
• An interest in continuing to develop your BIM, visualisation and digital design capabilities.

Experience on projects in the Middle East and/or Portugal is highly desirable, particularly within hospitality, healthcare or residential design.
