kp Business Services in Porto, Portugal, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage AR activities within the Shared Service Centre on a temporary maternity cover contract.

You will handle factoring, receipts, bank postings, deductions, and manual invoices, support intercompany reconciliations and month-end close, and assist audits in an international finance team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
• Good knowledge of IFRS.
• English language mandatory and another European language preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Knowledge of JDE E1 is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Effective business writing and professional communication.
• Ability to work in an international global environment.

Responsabilidades

Purpose of the job:

Processing Accounts Receivable (AR) activities in the Shared Service Centre (SSC)

Contract type

Temporary replacement contract (maternity cover), expected to last approximately 12 months.

Tasks And Responsibilities

• Handling of Factoring process, posting of factoring statements & reconciliation;
• Processing of receipts of payments;
• Posting of bank statements and cash allocation;
• Processing of deductions and if applicable generating of credit notes;
• Enter and forward invoice deductions;
• Enter and post manual invoices;
• Support AR intercompany reconciliation;
• Process AR month end closing activities;
• Perform AR reporting;
• Support in the preparation of financial statements;
• Maintenance of accounts;
• Participate in team and continuous improvement projects;
• Provide support related to annual and interim audits.

• Good knowledge of IFRS;

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office;
• Good knowledge in JDE E1 (preferred);
• Good analytical and Organisation skills;
• Effective business writing and professional communication skills;
• Ability to work in an international global work environment.

Experience

• 1+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting or equivalent;
• Experience in factoring (preferred);
• Experience within a Shared Service Centre environment and transition.
