ITDS is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure & Support Tech Lead in Porto for a hybrid role. You will lead operational IT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring system stability across critical environments while driving technical projects with development teams.

The role requires 9+ years in Linux IT projects, strong scripting skills, and experience with deployment and monitoring tools. Fluency in English and Portuguese is expected; EU work eligibility is required.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in Linux IT projects and infrastructure support.
• Deep knowledge of Linux environments; Windows Server is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
• Strong understanding of web servers and migrations (e.g., Websphere to JBoss).
• Knowledge of security best practices: SSL, reverse proxy, load balancing.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (Control-M, VTOM).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Experience with deployment tools (GIT, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Openshift, Docker).

As a Senior Linux Infrastructure & Support Tech Lead, you will be working for our client, a leader in large-scale IT infrastructure solutions. You will be instrumental in ensuring system stability, driving technical projects, and maintaining operational excellence across critical environments. Your main responsibilities:

• Provide operational support across all environments, handling incident investigation, resolution, change requests, and maintenance activities.
• Deliver Level 3 support for IT infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
• Establish monitoring metrics and design resilient architecture to maintain system stability.
• Lead technical projects in collaboration with infrastructure and development teams, including meetings and planning.
• Support technical architecture decisions for business projects and contribute to process improvements (e.g., scripting, testing scenarios).
• Design and maintain secure architectures compliant with corporate standards, SLAs, and security protocols.
• Coordinate change management activities, including deployment of new application versions and infrastructure modifications.
• Manage treatment schedules, incident resolution, and problem management efforts.
• Document system components, architecture, procedures, and supervision requirements.
• Oversee backup management, testing restoring procedures regularly.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using alerting systems to meet SLA commitments.
• Control load capacity and optimize infrastructure resources through scaling or redesigning.
• Ensure the implementation and testing of Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) at least twice a year.
• Define technical architecture for new applications and collaborate with development teams for build-out.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in Linux IT projects and infrastructure support.
• Deep knowledge of Linux environments; Windows Server is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
• Strong understanding of web servers, with experience managing migrations (e.g., Websphere to JBoss).
• Knowledge of security best practices: SSL, reverse proxy, load balancing.
