Inetum in Lisbon is seeking an Application Support specialist to join a global 24/7 production support team. You will monitor critical business applications, collaborate with Dev teams and Scrum teams to troubleshoot issues, and drive upgrades and observability initiatives in a hybrid Lisbon-based role.

The ideal candidate has expert Java/JBoss EAP skills, strong OpenShift/Kubernetes experience, and hands-on knowledge of monitoring, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation in a financial services

Qualificações

• Expert in Java application servers (JBoss EAP) with performance tuning experience
• Strong hands-on with OpenShift and Kubernetes in cloud environments
• Experience with API gateway tools such as Axway or Apigee
• Expert in RHEL Linux OS
• Experience with monitoring/observability stack: Dynatrace, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling: GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Nexus Sonatype
• Experience with infrastructure automation: Ansible and/or Terraform
• Solid knowledge of relational DBs: MSSQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Experience in Scrum/Agile environments

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and maintain applications to ensure high availability and performance in production
• Collaborate in incident management, participate in Situation Rooms for P1/P2, RCA and problem resolution under ITIL governance
• Execute change requests and deployments following ITIL and DevOps processes; participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 availability
• Serve as a primary contact for Development teams, troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes with Scrum teams
• Implement upgrades, patches, and new functionalities with minimal user impact
• Implement and optimize monitoring tools and define observability practices with Dev teams
• Maintain and update technical documentation and share best practices with the global support team

We are looking for an Application Support specialist to join our Inetum Team and be part of a work culture focused on innovation!

Location:

Main Tasks:

• Monitor and maintain applications within scope, ensuring high availability and performance in a production environment.
• Actively collaborate in incident management, including participation in Situation Rooms for P1/P2 incidents, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and problem resolution, while ensuring compliance with ITIL governance and SLAs.
• Execute change requests and deployments following ITIL and DevOps tools and processes, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability for critical applications.
• Serve as a point of contact for Development teams, troubleshooting issues and coordinating fixes, and work closely with Scrum teams to design, deploy, and enhance systems.
• Implement upgrades, patches, and new functionalities while ensuring minimal impact on users.
• Implement and optimise monitoring tools within the production environment (e.g. Dynatrace) and collaborate with development teams and Centres of Expertise to define effective observability and monitoring practices.
• Maintain and update technical documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, and share best practices with the global support team to improve efficiency.

Profile:

• Expert-level knowledge of Java application servers (Red Hat JBoss EAP), including heap and thread dump analysis and performance optimisation.
• Strong experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Experience with API gateway integration tools such as Axway or Apigee.
• Expert proficiency in RHEL Linux OS.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Dynatrace, Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Nexus Sonatype.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools including Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases including MSSQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
