Axians is seeking an Application Production Support Technician to join an international financial services project. You will provide high‑level functional and technical support for PnL applications, manage incidents, and orchestrate changes with thorough testing across EMEA.

Ideal candidates will have strong SQL Server, SSAS/SSRS, and monitoring tool experience, plus scripting skills in Python or PowerShell. English fluency is required.

Qualificações

• Experience in application and user support in high‑pressure production environments (investment banking preferred).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS and ClickHouse.
• Good ITIL process knowledge and experience with ServiceNow.
• Experience with monitoring and scheduling tools; scripting with Python or PowerShell.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high‑level functional and technical support for PnL applications across EMEA during business hours and on‑call.
• Respond to incidents and service requests in ServiceNow, diagnosing and resolving to minimize downtime.
• Conduct deep‑dive analysis into recurring issues to implement permanent solutions.
• Maintain composure in trading environments; coordinate releases and ensure testing.
• Assist in changes to environments and validate connectivity, performance, and security controls.
• Ensure changes are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
• Design automated processes to reduce manual intervention and scale support.
• Lead pilots or PoCs to improve efficiency or reduce costs.
• Interface between Infrastructure, App Development, Security and business owners.
• Maintain SOPs and knowledge repository; liaise between London and global support hubs.

Application Production Support Technician

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an Application Production Support Technician to join an international project within the financial services sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing functional and technical support for business‑critical applications, ensuring their stability, availability, and performance. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, supporting business users, troubleshooting incidents, managing releases, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives through automation and process optimization.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Provide high‑level functional and technical support for PnL applications across all EMEA locations during business hours and on call rotation.

• Respond to, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex application‑related incidents and service requests in a timely manner using ServiceNow, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations. Elaborate post‑mortem reports when relevant.

• Conduct deep‑dive analysis into recurring issues to implement permanent solutions and prevent future business impact.

• Maintain composure and efficiency in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive trading environments.

• Analyze change requirements, coordinate releases, and ensure rigorous testing is performed for seamless transitions.

• Assist in the implementation of changes to application environments and validate connectivity, performance, and security controls.

• Ensure changes are documented and communicated effectively to all stakeholders.

• Design and implement automated processes (scripting) to reduce manual intervention and increase support scalability.

• Lead small‑scale pilots or Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to improve operational efficiency or reduce infrastructure costs.

• Act as the primary technical interface between Infrastructure, Application Development, Security, and Business‑line owners.

• Maintain comprehensive SharePoint links, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and FAQ guides in the corporate knowledge repository.

• Liaise effectively between London and global support hubs to ensure consistent service delivery.

• Conduct training sessions for support teams.

Your Main Qualifications

• Proven experience in application and user support within a high‑pressure production environment (preferably Investment Banking).

• Good Working knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS and Click House.

• Deep understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) and experience with ServiceNow.

• Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Geneos) and scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Crontab).

• Ability to use scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to improve workflows.

• Fluency in English.
