Job summary

LUZA Group is seeking an experienced Apache Kafka administrator to join our distributed data platform team. You will manage and evolve Kafka clusters, configure Connect and Schema Registry, and implement security and performance tuning across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Kafka administration, strong Azure knowledge, and fluent Portuguese and English communication skills. Remote work is possible, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and evolve the Apache Kafka platform.
• Work on cluster architecture, including Brokers, KRaft, replication, and min.insync.replicas.
• Configure and manage Kafka Connect and Schema Registry using Avro / JSON.
• Implement security controls such as mTLS and ACLs.
• Tune platform performance, including JVM, retention, and cleanup policies.
• Manage storage and Persistent Volumes.
• Support incident resolution and continuous platform improvement.

What You'll do:

Who You Are:

• Experience in Apache Kafka administration
• Strong knowledge of Azure
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills

Certifications (nice to have):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka (CCAAK)
