Mercer in Lisbon is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Data & Analytics Team on a hybrid basis, working at least three days a week in the office. You will contribute to end-to-end development across MEAN/MERN and Python FastAPI stacks, turning data into actionable insights.

You’ll build microservices and APIs, implement containerized deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-centric applications for Oliver Wyman’s new Lisbon hub.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience with Python/FastAPI and a MEAN/MERN stack (Node.js, Express.js, Angular or React) and MongoDB.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, API integrations, JSON data, and responsive, scalable development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Lisbon and will support the development of Oliver Wyman’s new hub in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will develop applications and platforms that enable users to explore, visualize, and interact with data in meaningful ways. You will work across modern front-end and back-end technologies, helping bridge the gap between data analytics and software development while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

We will count on you to:

• Contribute to the design and development of full-stack applications using MEAN/MERN technologies and Python FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain applications that enable data exploration, visualization, and reporting.
• Design and develop microservices and APIs using an API-first approach, including integrations and JSON data handling.
• Develop and deploy scalable applications using container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar, with an understanding of Git and CI/CD practices.
• Optimize application and front-end performance for speed, scalability, and a strong user experience.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through relevant projects.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience with Python/FastAPI and a MEAN or MERN stack such as Node.js, Express.js, Angular or React, and MongoDB.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, API integrations, JSON data, and responsive, scalable application development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
