ICEYE is seeking a Team Lead, AIT Engineering in Lisbon to drive the assembly, integration and testing of satellite systems and optical payloads. You will lead the AIT team, coordinate cross‑discipline activities, and ensure robust, manufacturable processes for space hardware in a fast‑paced production environment.

You will mentor engineers, interface with production and external suppliers, and push continuous improvement in AIT readiness, tooling and documentation.

Qualificações

• 5+ years hands-on experience in spacecraft AIT or system integration.
• Experience with optical payloads and Earth Observation systems.
• Experience in cleanroom environments.
• Strong cross-disciplinary system understanding across mechanical, electrical, optical, and systems engineering.
• Proven debugging and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Experience with MES, ERP, or production systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the AIT Engineering team with clear priorities.
• Oversee assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems.
• Support integration and validation of externally supplied optical payloads.
• Combine leadership with hands‑on involvement in integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure AIT readiness before builds: tools, procedures, documentation, hardware, and support.
• Drive problem‑solving and root cause analysis; feed lessons back to Engineering and production.
• Bridge Production and Engineering to translate requirements into manufacturable processes.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Define and improve AIT processes, test methods, tooling, fixtures, and docs.
• Support ramp‑up by improving integration efficiency, repeatability, and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and build technical capabilities within AIT.
